This photo was taken by Rosie Garza the head director Courtyard Tennis Club where I started out in 2009 as a brand new player - a 2.5 - not being able to hit one ball in the court! In fact - I would often whiff the ball completely!!! But I hired a great teacher - she gently shaped my footwork, turning my shoulders, keeping my eye on the ball, coming into the net - and the most important lesson - taking DEEP BREATHS!! Hire the right person and then pay attention!
