When you set up practices - make sure to also work on doing exercises that include playing under pressure and intensity. I use my time to not only improve my technique - but I also make mental improvements paying attention to what my responses are to tough points. Ideas to try:
- play only ONE serve
- give your opponents a two point handicap
- force yourself to serve and volley
Basically intentionally play outside of your comfort zone to build up your confidence and variety!!! Making these false problems will increase my tenacity for real matches!
