Lessons from the NET 🎾

This photo was taken in 2010. I had lost 50 lbs and just won my first tournament.
Over the years I have been on many teams and number out tournaments - singles and doubles - but there has been one contact joy that I have received from this sport:

THE PEOPLE

Whether nice or rude, fun or cheaters, generous or sour, happy or sad - my opponents and partners have been my greatest teachers. In the last 7 years I have gained much self awareness which has led me to consciousness and then freedom to make new choices to get new results.

For the first time in my life I began TAKING RESPONSIBILITY for my life experience. You see - if I came to the court in a nasty mood - my opponents and I would get into it. When I came to the game with a cheerful presence the opponents diffused and softened too.

And even when I was happy and sweet and my opponents or partners were not - I didn't escalate it - my heart was filled with L❤️VE.

And each match - each partner - I learned to harness my thoughts to be the optimistic ones. My actions mirrored my thinking. And the result was MUCH MORE FUN!!! And then I wrote a book - to share my knowledge and experiences. It's been a blissful journey and I am grateful for all of it - the wins and the losses!! www.ilovemydoublespartner.com "I ❤️ MY DOUBLES PARTNER!!!" Available on Amazon.
